Job Title - Transport Manager
Location - Nottingham (Hucknall)
Salary - £25,000 - £35,000
Optimise are working exclusively alongside a fast-growing logistics company who are looking to incorporate a brand-new role into their business due to rapid expansion. The role will be undertaking a Transport Manager position, having sole responsibility for the drivers, vehicles and smooth running of the transportation.
As a Transport Manager, your role will involve organising, planning and managing all routes for deliveries to meet the demands of the organisation and customers. You will offer excellent customer service to support the drivers with re-routing operations and also advising/managing customer requests and queries keeping them up to date with their transportation.
Other responsibilities include:
- Managing and booking all driver’s hours
- Ensuring compliance with transport policies, procedures and legislation is up to date.
- Ensure vehicles are scheduled for service and inspections when required
- Work with senior management to implement cost-saving and process improvement strategies
- Ensure Health & Safety requirements are being followed
This full-time position would be considered for someone who can demonstrate a previous ability to support multiple transport operations at any given time. You must have the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with drivers as well as new and existing customers and use your initiative to solve problems.
This company is offering a competitive salary that will align or greater your expectations. It’s based fully in the office and working hours are 8:30 – 5:30, however, can be flexible. Even though the role is a stand-alone position, you will be a part of a wider team who are happy to offer support and guidance throughout.
