Job Title: Internal Sales Representative
Salary: £25,000+
Location: Sheffield

Optimise are delighted to be working alongside a well-established manufacturing organisation based in Sheffield who have been trading for over 150 years. Due to organic movement within the team, our client is looking to onboard an Internal Sales Representative that will report directly into the Head of Sales.

The main purpose of this role is to grow the sales of all products alongside maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Incorporated into this role will also be an element of marketing and you will play an active role in the company’s marketing activities.

Key responsibilities in this role would include:

  • Responding to enquiries by phone and email
  • Following up on job leads and converting these into orders
  • Creating quotations for standard products across the business
  • Upselling of products, accessories and options
  • Building strong customer relationships and providing day to day interaction regarding orders, lead times and special requirements
  • Liaising with production regarding lead times and deliveries
  • Providing excellent communication regarding any customer issues or complaints

Alongside Internal Sales duties, this role will also give you the opportunity to get involved with Marketing responsibilities. You will actively assist with organising and attending industry exhibitions alongside having responsibility for managing social media accounts via a third party partner. Additional duties will include updating the company website content and implementing the publication advertising schedule.

To succeed within this role, you must have a proactive and ambitious work ethic. The ideal candidate will have worked within the manufacturing/engineering industry or have exposure selling a tangible product. Although direct product knowledge is not essential, the ability to demonstrate a technical understanding of alternative products is required to explain the features and differences of the full product range. Demonstrating good IT skill is also advantageous coupled with excellent communication skills.

Hour of work are 8:30am – 5pm (Monday – Thursday) and 8:30am – 3:30pm (Friday). Additional benefits include free parking and a generous pension scheme.
